Windows in the UK now receive an energy efficiency rating much in the same way as appliances such as fridges or boilers. This energy rating scheme is run by the British Fenestrations Rating Council.

The rating system assesses the whole window (frame and glass), giving it a rating from A to G, with A rated windows being the best.

By using the information contained on the label, you can reliably compare the energy performance of one product with another.
