Hi
I understand the good intentions of this site (and many others) and applaud the idea that we all use less of the world's resources and reduce climate change etc but..........am I the only one who thinks its probably all a bit pointless if India, China etc are all going to be massively increasing their pollution of the planet on a scale that will dwarf what all the other countries put together can do to improve the situation?

The fact is that unless we all take action on this issue, we are all going to suffer. The Chinese and Indians today use a fraction of the energy that we in Europe or the US use. They have a right to strive for the levels of comfort that we in the West enjoy today. However, we are all going to have to find ways to enjoy this comfort using less fossil fuels
